Basic Basil Pesto
Stop buying this easy to make condiment! It’s super easy to make and is absolutely delicious as a dip, pasta sauce, stirred through salad as a dressing, drizzled on chicken…the list is endless!
2 cups firmly packed fresh basil leaves
2 tbs pine nuts
2 large garlic cloves, peeled
60mls (1/4 cup) extra virgin olive oil
20g (1/4 cup) grated parmesan
1. Place basil leaves, pine nuts and garlic into a food processor and blitz until finely chopped.
2. Add parmesan then slowly pour in oil and process until combined.
Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator until required.
